I'm really excited. Like, really excited today. It's funny because today was nothing special. I worked from 7:45AM-5:15PM, but it was grand. People are a lot nicer during the holidays...Oh, and they were all buying alcohol. It's interesting to hear what people are doing for New Year"s Eve/day. I always do the same thing every year; stay home with the family. And it suits me just fine. I love pouring the sparkling grape juice in a wine glass, wearing the silly New Year's hats, popping fireworks, and eating great food. I also love making New Year Resolutions which I seldom keep, hahahah. BUT THIS YEAR IT'S TRULY HAPPENING. I WILL lose the extra 30lbs I have gained since college. Grrrrr. I love the sweets, but the sweets hate me!!! :(
Oh well. If you don't like something about yourself, there are two things you can do:
1. Change it
or.....
2. Learn to love it
I'm choosing to change. I cannot wait for a healthier lifestyle. :)
Cheers,
Ev

I Could Never Forget Him.
I didn't forget to put my boyfriend in my last post, I swear! I just wanted to make a brand new post dedicated to our relationship. Chris Potter, my boyfriend for over 5 years, is a wonderful man of Christ. Being an introvert and a video gamer, he was shy when I first met him. Regardless, we became fast friends, and soon after I began dating him my freshmen year of high school. I was 14 about to turn 15. He was two years older and he was a senior.
Since I cannot summarize our relationship in one page, I'll just say that I love him a lot and he helped make me who I am today. He's encouraging, brilliant, loyal, kind, and we understand each other perfectly. I could never imagine my life without him. Most of all, He is a strong man of God, and that's without a doubt his most attractive quality.
Chris, I love you so much.
Here are a few pics of our crazy adventures together! Enjoy. (Feel free to laugh. We are COMPLETE goofballs.) <3
(Yeah, I dressed him up like Edward Cullen from Twilight. He'll never live this one down!! Hahaha) |
That's enough for now. I only have a few million pics of us together; however, this were the easiest to find.
Being in love is the best thing and the worst thing at the same time. I'll leave with a quote from the movie, Captain Corelli's Mandolin.
"Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two."

LOVE YOU GUYS,

Good Tidings.
Today was spectacular! Food, fun, and family. Need I say more? My mom is an amazing cook, she should be a professional. I've been eating all day, but the diet (I mean lifestyle) truly does start tomorrow. It's a good day to start because it's a Monday and I work allllll day. When I say all day, it literally means ALL day. I work 10AM-8PM. :( But hey, at least I have a job.
If I intend to start my blog off right, then I guess I should show you some of the most important people in my life! There are many more, but here are the first people who come to my mind. :)
I am so blessed to have all of these people in my life.
Love ya,
Ev

This is my lovely mother. She means the world to me and she is the most caring person I have ever known. I am so blessed to be her daughter. |
Both my grandfathers are incredible men of God...They have supported me and loved me all my life. |
My friend Christa and I met in high school. She's my "lil sis" because she's smaller then me and we kinda look alike. :) I adore her. We have lots of deep chats and really connect. |
My brother, Reid, is a very funny boy. I could laugh at his antics all day. Even though we fight, I could never ask for a better lil bro. |
My dad and I resemble each other in many ways, not just on the outside. My dad is an extremely hard worker, and he's always there to support me. I love him soo much. |
I put two pictures of her cause she's that important. |
Candice, me, and Jenn at our high school graduation! Candice is my other best friend, like I said in my last post, and we have a long history. Best friends are the best kind of friends, it's true! :) |
Yet another pic of Jenn and Candice. Not only are they beautiful, but they are incredibly smart and kind. They are very special to me, and I couldn't imagine my life without them!!!!! |
Love ya,
Ev

First Time.
I have just popped my blogger cherry! Hooray!
Hello! Merry Christmas!
This all started because my dear friend, Candice, has an incredible blog, and it's inspiring to see all the wonderful things she has done with hers. Being an English major and loving to read and write, this seems like the perfect thing to get involved with. It's a creative outlet and allows me to speak out about opinions I have, spiritual stuff, random discoveries, and much more! I love this whole "blogging" idea and I hope to find a lot of people to follow. I love to read about people's lives and such!
So, I guess I'll post pictures, talk about interesting things, and discuss spiritual issues/themes/revelations! Sound like fun?! Hahaha, this will be an adventure!
Here's the beautiful girl who convinced me to make one of these! (She's on the left.)
Candice and I have quite a history! We've known each other since Kindergarten, and she's one of my very best friends still to this day!
Anywho, I guess here starts the online adventure of yours truly. I hope I can develop some new relationships and just have a good time.
I already love this thing.
Boundless Love,
Ev
